Extract skills and dates from messy resumes without rebuilding the PDF

Candidates do not send clean files. You get a scan from a phone, a two-column design, or a 14-page consulting CV. Before you spend 20 minutes fighting Word, decide if the person is even in range: title, dates, stack, location.

Parse first, format second

Resume Analyzer extracts name, contact, skills, experience, education, certifications, and projects. Use that dump to check tenure with Experience Calculator and to see if the stack matches the JD. Only then run Resume Formatter onto the client template.

• If dates are missing or contradict the summary, call the candidate before you format.
• If the skill list is a dump of 80 acronyms, look at the last two jobs, not the list.
• If the PDF will not parse, ask for a Word file. Do not retype a 6-page resume from a screenshot.

The analyzer is a read, not a rewrite. Do not “improve” titles or invent a summary. The formatter keeps wording identical for a reason — the client will compare packets.
